To expose the power of Livelink Categories, NCI has developed the Category Browser module which allows a user to view a Category by simply mousing over the object name. A pop-up will display the metadata if that object has a Category. Thus, the user can quickly view the Categories of objects one by one.

Features include:

• Simply "Mouse Over” the item to display Category data in a pop-up
• Handles objects with multiple Categories
• If user has permission, an edit link allows the user to navigate to the Categories page to modify values
• Categories won't display if pointer is quickly dragged over items
• Works with the NCI Image Browser for Livelink to further enhance the user experience
